Happy New Year to Everyone!
As we close out 2017 and begin 2018, I’m reminded to reflect back to the year that we are leaving behind.
We certainly had our share as a country of some horrific events, and quite honestly, many that I personally would rather forget. But we also had some great things that happened as well. I’m looking forward to what 2018 will bring both professionally and personally.
Years ago, I started a tradition that involves a jar. Every time something positive happens in my life I write it down and put it in the jar. This can be anything you choose both professionally, personally or a world event. Then on New Years Eve or New Years Day I empty the jar and read each wonderful blessing & memory that I experienced that prior year.
Sometimes there are quite a few things and sometimes just a handful. But the point is, it helps to remind us of how precious life is and to try and remember the positive things that happen to us and not be drawn to the negative.
So, as we embark on 2018 I will leave you with this.
You have 365 days and 365 chances to have:
12 months of happiness
52 weeks of laughter
365 days of success
8760 hours of good health
52600 minutes of good luck
315360 seconds of joy
Your life and New Year will be what you make it to be and want. Don’t ever let someone steal your dream or deflate your accomplishments!
If you are one that likes NY’s Resolutions go for it and when it happens write it down and put it in your jar.
The first memory going into my jar this year is the gender reveal of my new grandbaby that takes place this month.
Now your turn!
